Esther Moffsenson Smith

Esther Smith, 91 of  Judwin Ave., New Haven passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday morning.  Esther was the widow of E. Barney Smith and is survived by her daughter, Susan Furman (Bob), and her sons, Martin Smith (Holly Starkman) and Ronald Smith. She doted on her three grandchildren, Josh Gelles, Ben Furman and Sadie Smith. She was the daughter of the late Fanny and Hyman Moffsenson and was predeceased by her brother, Irving Moffenson, and her sisters Anne Dube (Leo) and Simmy Green (Lou).   Esther was the soul of kindness.  The driving force in her life was the care and well being of her children, and that was her concern to the last.
 Funeral service will be held at Keser Israel Memorial Park, Farwell Street, West Haven, Sunday afternoon at 1.  Shiva will be at the home of Susan Furman, 39 Old  Mine Rd., Killingworth, CT. following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice that helps homeless persons and animals.
