    To Monica and Alex,
    I was sorry to read about the loss of your father. He was always nice to me and would stop by to see me at The Crown Market in the 1970’s. May his memory be for a blessing. Stuart Miller

    So happy I had a chance to celebrate with Marcel and his family at his most recent birthday. I met him at bridge many years ago. A friendship was formed. We all missed him when he stopped playing. I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Dr Bratu was my pediatrician many years ago.
    I remember once when my croup had gotten so bad late one night, my mom rushed me to the local ER.

    Early the next morning my mom received a phone call…a deep, commanding, accented voice;
    “So, Mrs Wolf, am I no longer Gabrielle’s pediatrician?”
    Mom: “Of course you still are, Dr Bratu!”
    Dr: “Then why did I have to hear from the hospital that your daughter was there, and you did not call me?”
    Mom: “But Dr Bratu, it was in the middle of the night!”
    Dr: “So?”

    A little while later; a knock on our door…and there he was….making a house call to make sure that I was alright.

    Dr Bratu was the kind of doctor all patients wish they had, and all doctors should aspire to be…. caring, conscientious, competent… and a true mensch.

    Prayers and condolences to the Bratu family.
    May his memory be a blessing.
