Paul Ptalis passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital with his loving wife, Marilyn and children, Evan and Sarah, by his side. The family lived in Cheshire, Connecticut for 23 years before moving to Allentown, Pennsylvania. Paul was dedicated to his work at Lehigh Valley Hospital as Executive Director of Healthworks. He shared a passion for many hobbies, especially fly fishing and fly tying; serving as a board member of the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum and a member of the New York Anglers’ Club. A source of great pride was the publication of his fly tying book, Century’s End. Paul will be remembered as a devoted husband, incredible father, caring brother to his sister Ava Polan and a true friend to everyone who knew him. Paul will be best remembered for his amazing wit and sense of humor. 
Service at Weller Funeral Home, 493 Whitney Ave., New Haven, CT, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 11 am. Interment in the Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Cheshire. Friends will be welcome to visit the Ptalis home in Allentown this weekend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lehigh Valley Hospital, LVH Development 1247 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Suite 200, Allentown, PA 18103.
