I can’t remember my childhood without remembering Bertha, Cheryl’s mother. As a wonderful, fun person, she was always there for me growing up and as a neighbor to my parents in their late years, she was a phenomenal, caring and loving friend. Bertha was a quiet, unassuming woman who had a huge heart and gave big to everyone she knew. She will be so very missed. My memories of her and all the good times she brought to my life will always bring a smile to my face.

Even when you and I didn’t get to see each other, I would always see your Mom around Hamden at the supermarket. She always asked about my kids and husband. She was a sweet and gentle soul and I will miss seeing her. If you need anything let me know……

Cheryl’s mom always had a smile and rarely a kvetch. She was such a warm, kind lady. I’m sure she appreciated her devoted daughter .
