I was sorry to hear from Jim Rotondo of your mother’s death. She made a very welcoming home – 12 Sonne Drive is the only North Haven address, other than my own and Sally’s, that I remember. You are certainly lucky to have had her so well for so long.
    My best to you.

On the fourth Friday of every month was my standing date to play bridge with Florence. She was one of my favorite partners. For many years she joined our family on Xmas Eve where she was dearly welcomed Our children and grandchildren used to affectionatly call her “Flo”. She will be distressingly missed.

Florence (“Sam’s Gam” as I called her) was an amazing , strong woman who always welcomed me into her home as if I were family as a teenager. She made the best cheesecake ever too!!!! My deepest sympathy is with my dear friend Samantha and the rest of her family.

It is so difficult to say a final goodbye to such a special friend. How fortunate for me that I was able to get to know, enjoy, and appreciate Florence’s varied skills and graces. I cherish my many happy memories of her. She was a super bridge buddy and an insightful book club chum. I shall miss her a lot. My heartfelt sympathies are sent to her adored family. Love, Janice Bruce
