Monia Brandfon

Monica Brandfon, 96 of Woodbridge, CT died June 14, 2013. She was born in Russia November 10, 1916, daughter of the late Isador and Clara Gandelman Hadelman. She was the widow of Sasha Brandfon and is survived by a son Jeffrey Brandfon (Jamie) of Guilford, a daughter Jane B. Emons (Jeffrey) of Woodbridge, eight grandchildren, Leah, Alexander, Corey, Michael and Mia Brandfon and Jeffrey, Lesley and Jonathan Emons and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Jacob and Leon Hadelman and a sister Sonya Hadelman Brown. Monia graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1933, received her college degree from University of Connecticut and did work towards her master’s degree at New Haven State Teacher’s College (SCSU). She worked as an early childhood educator until joining her late husband as a founder and principal of Brandfon Motors, Inc. She was fortunate to have traveled extensively throughout Europe and Mexico.
   Funeral service and interment were private.

    I am very sad to hear of Monia”s death. Monia was a wonderful person who I thoroughly enjoyed doing business with for many years.

    I was saddened at the news of Monia’s passing. I also enjoyed our business relationship and have never forgotten Monia’s thoughtfulness at the time of my son’s birth. Rest in Peace.
