Valentine (Val) Tuckell
Valentine (Val) Tuckell of Pompano Beach FL formerly of New Haven passed away peacefully on April 2 at the age of 100. Born June 27, 1920 in Kiev, Russia Val came to America at the age of two. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Murray Tuckell. She is survived by her daughter Vicki Hobbs of West Palm Beach, FL and her son Peter (Margot) Tuckell of Hamden, her grandchildren Travis Tuckell and Kylie (Michael) Kelly and great grand children Sage and Miles Kelly of Soquel, CA. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law Calvin Hobbs and grandson Corey Hobbs. Val worked at Congregation Mishkan Israel for forty years retiring as Executive Director.
Funeral services will be private with interment in the Mishkan Israel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Congregation Mishkan Israel or the charity of one’s choice.
