Obituary

Aaron M. Levine of New Haven and Woodbridge died peacefully on May 24th at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Samuel and Ray Botwinik Levine.  He was predeceased by brothers Ted and Herbert Levine. Devoted husband of the late Gloria Rahm Levine and the late Miriam Nelson Levine.  Beloved father of Lawrence, Steven (Joan), Nanci (Robert), the late Danny Zukowsky, and Chivas Regal I, II, and III.  Father-In-Law of Joyce Levine.  Loving grandfather of Glenn Levine, Daniel Levine, Jennifer Levine, Amy Shiffrin Gill (Justin), Rachel Levine Kornfeld (Sean). Great grandfather of Jessica, Samuel, Hannah, and  Annika Levine and Zachary Kornfeld.  He leaves many dear and loving friends. Aaron was a graduate of Clark University and Boston University School of Law. He was a decorated veteran of WWII.  He was the founder of The Connecticut Automatic Transmission Company.  He and Miriam later started and operated The Antiques Market in Westville for 37 years which allowed them to share their passion for travelling, history, and antiques. He will be sadly missed by any and all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service at the Mishkan Israel Cemetery, Jewell St., New Haven Tuesday morning at 11. Memorial contributions may be made to The Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis (www. ccccnh.org ) or Temple Beth Sholom, 1809 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Ct. 06517. Visiting hours at the Levine home will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:30 – 4:30pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm.
