Abraham Smernoff, 99 of 321 Eastern St., New Haven died January 7, 2011. He was born May 7, 1912, son of the late Jacob and Eva (Levinson) Smernoff. Husband of the late Lillian (Yavitz) Smernoff. Father of Renee Bacote, grandfather of Craig Jr. and Lindsay Bacote and brother of Ida Marder and the late George Sands.
