Alan F. Beresner, 88 of West Haven passed peacefully on March 6, 2025 with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Helaine (Cookie) and father of Steven Beresner (Faye) and Lauren Beresner Kesten and grandfather to Madeline Kesten.

He was born August 26, 1936 in New Haven to Esta and Samuel Beresner. A graduate of Hillhouse High School he went into business with his dad as an orthotist where they produced surgical custom bracing at Yale Surgical, a firm begun in 1923. He served the New Haven medical community for more than 35 years. He was a former member of the Woodbridge Lions Club and enjoyed skiing, golf and cycling.

A graveside service will be held Sunday 11:00am at B'nai Jacob Memorial Park, Wintergreen Ave. New Haven. A period of mourning will be held following the service at 40 Quarry Dock Rd. Branford following the service and on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-8:00pm with a service at 6:00pm. Contributions may be made to Jewish Family Service of Greater New Haven, jfsnh.org. The Weller Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. is in charge of arrangements.
