Bernard Braverman, 92, of Tower One in New Haven, died October 3, 2009. Mr. Braverman, the son of Morris and Sophie Bellows Braverman, was born on Sept. 27, 1917, and raised in Newark, N.J. In 1945, he married Bella Shafer of New Haven, where they made their home and raised their three daughters. He is survived by his wife; his daughters, Janet Teller of Hamden, Conn., Mara Braverman of Newington, Conn., and Loran Braverman of New York City; his four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1: PM at the Mishkan Israel Cemetery, Jewell St., New Haven. Memorial donations may be made to the Resident Services Program Fund of Tower One, 18 Tower Lane, New Haven, CT 06519.
