Betty C. Fransen-Lichter of 515 Ferry Road Orange died unexpectedly April 18, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Harvey A. Lichter. Born August 13, 1939 in Glen Head, NY, daughter of the late Elof and H. Christine Fransen, beloved mother of Heidi (Tom) Snell of Orange, John (Heidi) Meyenberg of Waterford, and Tori and Michael Lichter of Wallingford, and Step-Mother of Jonathan (Sandi) Lichter of Woodbridge, and Cathy (David) Futrowsky of Silver Spring, MD, Cherished Grandmother of TJ, Katelyn, and Joshua Snell, Zachary and Jordyn Meyenberg ,Victoria and Tracy Lichter, Melissa and Mara Lichter, and Kate and Julie Futrowsky, Survived by a sister, Debra Silva of Mystic, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Robert and Kenneth Fransen. She was the office Manager of her husband's Dental Practice.
Funeral service will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the home of Dr. Harvey A. Lichter Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 12pm and 8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
