Carole Berger, PhD, Research Scientist in the Department of Dermatology, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 from an acutely progressive multisystemic disease.  Carole had been a Research Scientist on the Yale University Dermatology faculty since 1991, after fifteen years on the faculty of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she rose to the academic level of Associate Professor of Dermatologic Research.  She was born in New York City and was predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Sophie Berger.  She was an absolutely essential contributor to a number of seminal contributions to the field of human clinically relevant immunobiology.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the Mount Moriah Cemetery , 685 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, NJ.  Donations in her memory can be made to Yale University Office of Development, Contribution Processing, P.O.
