Doris Koffer, 82, passed away on October 15 after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease.  She is survived by her husband, and guardian angel, Simon Koffer of New Haven; adoring daughters Karen Ginsberg of Hamden and Judy Ginsberg Penn of Raleigh, NC; loving sister, Norma "Boots" Zimmer of Pompano Beach, Fla; grandchildren Eric Segali of Hamden and Robyn Segali of North Branford; step-children Linda Koffer of New York and Alan Koffer of Georgia.  Doris is predeceased by her parents John "Jack"  and Bertha Stumpf and daughters Lynda Ginsberg and Beth Ginsberg Segali.  Doris is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Her daughters would like to thank Sy for the loving care he provided their mother during her illness.  His devotion allowed Doris to remain at home for as long as possible and his constant vigil of her while in a nursing home earned Sy his guardian angel wings.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:PM at the Congregation Sinai memorial Park on Farwell St., in Allingtown, West Haven.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
