Frances Lillian Proctor Cohen passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 92 at home in Brooklyn, NY. Predeceased by her husband Edward Cohen and sisters Mildred Hoffman and Henrietta (Hancy) Forman.

She leaves behind her beloved sons Gregory (Viviane) and Jonathan, granddaughters Rachel, Elizabeth and Danielle and great granddaughter Lucia.

Fran moved from Hamden to Brooklyn in 2021 to receive the care of the family to whom she provided so much love and support.

She formed lifelong relationships which still included friends from Sheridan Junior High, Hillhouse, and her UConn college roommates and many neighbors. In retirement, she volunteered as an interviewer with the Fortunoff Holocaust Archive.

A funeral will be held on Sunday, October 6 at noon at
