Janet Weiss, wife of Marvin Weiss, of Whitney Center, Hamden CT. apt. 2408. died yesterday, November 2,2016, at the Advanced Nursing Home in New Haven. Janet married Marvin in 1952, 64 years ago. She is the mother of 3 children each married and with children of their own.
Janet and Marvin lived an active and happy life active in sailing, skiing, traveling and participating in political activities.
Janet was the founder of "Women Make News" a television program that sought out and interviewed famous and important women. She interviewed engineers, writers, a Nobel Prize winner, important women in United States, Japan, Europe and South America. She was active in the United Nations and worked closely with their television office.

Funeral service will be private with interment in the Mt Hebron Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
