Marcus D. Lebov,  41, died suddenly on April 30, 2014 in New Haven. He was the beloved son of Diane R. Tanenbaum and the late Robert M. Lebov and stepson of Dr. J. Lawrence Tanenbaum.  Marcus is also survived by his devoted sister Sharra Lebov, her husband Dr. Roy Nini, his niece Lila and nephew Levi, his loving grandmother, Gert Nitkin and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsisters. Marcus recently relocated to Connecticut last year after having spent many years living and working in Southern California. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his creative writing, impeccable sense of humor and his love of photography, filmmaking and dogs.  Donations in Marcus's memory may be made to Film Independent, a non-profit arts organization that champions the independent film maker, at www.filmindependent.org .

A private funeral will be held at the Weller Funeral Home, 493 Whitney Ave., New Haven on Friday, May 2nd. The interment will be in the B'nai Jacob Memorial Park, Wintergreen Ave., New Haven. Period of mourning will be private.
