Margaret Curtin Barnett, age 77, died peacefully on Monday June 30, 2014. Born September 18, 1936, Margaret was a lifelong resident of New Haven.  Upon graduation from Hillhouse High School, Margaret began work at Southern New England Telephone while attending Quinnipiac College in the evening.  Marge took a long break from the business world to raise her family, but later in life worked for several years at Connecticut Blue Cross Blue Shield, in both New Haven and North Haven.  Most recently, Marge was an active resident of Coachmen Square in Woodbridge, where she will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and kindness. She is survived by  her husband of 55 years Al, her daughter Caroline Barnett, her son David and daughter-in-law Betsy (Ross), and three granddaughters, Meg, Annie, and Ellie, and her sister Mary Ann Malloy.  Margaret was preceded by her son James.

Funeral service at the Weller Funeral Home, 493 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT. Wednesday at 12: noon. The interment will be in the Workmen's Circle Cemetery, Farwell St, West Haven, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
