Marina Zeldin, beloved wife, mother, sister and a resident of Hamden CT, passed away peacefully at the age of 65, on Sunday March 15, 2015. Marina was born in Ekaterinburg, Russia on February 12 1950. She graduated top of her class in Medical School and went on to become a physician. She practiced general medicine. In 1986 Marina along with her husband, her son and her extended family immigrated to the United States, where she continued to work in the field of medicine and specialized in acupuncture. During her life long struggle with Diabetes she always remained passionate about her family, her work, her community and her close friendships. Marina loved books, classical music, she loved to travel and loved animals . She is survived by her husband Yuri her son Gene and her brother Jacob. Private services will be held on Thursday afternoon with interment in the Hebrew Cemetery, East Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. ( JDRF.org ).
