Martha C. Namerow age 83 of Hamden, CT, died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Namerow and is survived by her beloved son, Richard Adam Namerow and his wife Gail, and their daughter Malia Meacham and her husband Lopaka, and their three children, Kainoa, Kainalu and Kaila, and her beloved daughter Lisa Beth Namerow and her husband, Fred Tilden and their three children, Jacqueline, Elizabeth and Anna. In addition, Martha created a legacy of step-children and step-grandchildren including Roseann Mandell and Geoff Stern, Mark Mandell and Lisa Goldman and their two children, Lauren and Eric, and Lee Mandell and his wife Suzanne Bronski and their two children, Natasha and Alexander. Martha was a dedicated medical technologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital for more than 45 years. A world traveler, an enthusiast for life and an avid social activist, Martha Namerow leaves behind a community of family and friends who will cherish her boundless energy and zest for life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Martha's memory to three different causes. A fund has been set up for Stephanie Davis, the daughter-in-law of one of the women who cared for Martha who is also battling brain cancer. Funeral service and interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at the New Haven Country Club at 11am Friday, December 4, a buffet luncheon will follow. Shiva will be held Saturday, December 5 from 6-8pm at Martha's home at 19 Centerbrook Road in Hamden.
