Morris Batter, of Orange, CT passed away on August 10th . Born in 1931 to Marion and Samuel Batter in New Haven, brother of Irwin, married Nancy Lee, and became father to Anne and Steven. After graduating from The Wharton School and University of Michigan with an MBA, he served in occupied Germany and later worked for the US Census Bureau before returning to New Haven to run a realty firm and become owner of the Branford marina, Pier 66 with Irwin. He generously gave to those in need, raised money for the building of the Milford Orange YMCA and after 9-11, was a regular blood donor up to the time of his illness. Those who knew him will remember both his integrity and ability to make us laugh. He passed onto his children his strengths in swimming, skiing, and passion for music and photography.
Funeral service and interment are private. The family is accepting visitors on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 at Nancy and Moe's home.
