Obituary

Natalie Postol Schwartz died January 23, 2021. Natalie was born in Bridgeport on September27,1922. She was the daughter of Henrietta Sackett Postol and Norman Postol. She spent the first 36 years of her life in Bridgeport before moving with her family to Easton where she lived for 37 years and moved back to Bridgeport for the remaining 25 years of her life. She was predeceased by husband James P. (Jimmy) Schwartz of nearly 66 years. Survivors are her devoted son Joseph Schwartz and his wife Diana Rich, her grandchildren Stevie Schwartz and husband David Judd; and Michael Schwartz; her great grandchild Rani Schwartz Judd; her sister Rosalind Golden and her brother Earl Postol and his wife Juli and many nieces and nephews.She was also predeceased by her sister Hilda Brier and her brother Sidney Postol and her daughter in law Ronda Schwartz. Natalie graduated Bassick High School and majored in Business Administration at Rider College. She was a Realtor and a partner for 20 years with her Jimmy in the James P. Schwartz Real Estate Agency in Fairfield and Easton. She served as Vice President in many capacities with the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors and on the Membership Committee of the Fairfield Board of Realtors. She was a Graduate of The Realtors Institute (GRI). She was a life member of the Brandeis University National Women's Committee and served as President of the Eastern Fairfield Chapter. She was also a volunteer at the Easton Public Library, where she served on the Library Board; served as Secretary of the Easton PHNA and was captain of Cancer, Heart, Easter Seals, and Red Cross Blood Drives. She also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Easton Federation of Democratic Women, a life member of the Auxiliary of the Fairfield County Jewish Home for the Elderly where she had been on the committee to organize the Home and served as Vice President of the Garden Club of the former Bridgeport Jewish Community Center. She was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and its Sisterhood for more than 60 years. Natalie was also a Life Member of Hadassah and the National Council of Jewish Women. Travel was very much a part of her life. She and Jimmy travelled across the United States and visited countless countries on the six inhabited continents.
