Rhoda Himmel, devoted wife to the late Harold J. Himmel died Sunday, June 7th surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Haven on June 21, 1929. She is survived by her brothers Norman Goodman of NYC and Robert (Sue) Goodman of New Haven, her children Shadi (Bruce) Goldslager, Larry (Diana) Himmel and Betsey (Gene) Lustgarten, and her adored grandchildren, Tara Himmel, Hal (Jorie) Himmel, Greg Himmel, Hillary Goldslager, Brian Goldslager, Brandon Lustgarten and Ross Lustgarten. She was the proud proprietor of her jewelry business, Rickshaw Gems for over 20 years. She most recently resided at Tower One with many old and new friends.

Funeral service at the Congregation B'nai Jacob Synagogue, 75 Rimmon Rd., Woodbridge, CT, Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. Interment in the B'nai Jacob Memorial Park, Wintergreen Ave., New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to Tower One, 18 Tower La., New Haven, CT 06519 or the charity of your choice. A period of mourning will be observed at 15 Meadowbrook Rd., Woodbridge on Wednesday 12 - 3 and Wednesday and Thursday 7 - 9 with minyan at 7:30.
