Robert N. Wolfson ( Bob) of 483 Saw Mill Road, Guilford CT passed away peacefully in his home on March 25, 2011 after several years of declining health. Bob was born in New Haven, Ct on June 18, 1933 to Minnie Brown Wolfson and Charles Wolfson former owners of Wolfson Drug Store and lifelong residents of New Haven. He attended Hilllhouse High School and Hopkins Grammer School as well as University of Connecticut and graduated from Quinnipiac College with a degree in business. Bob was a self-employed automotive tool salesman. He was an avid sports fan, he loved a good game. One of his favorite past-times was watching sports games. When he was younger with his daughters, brother, and nephews and when he was older with his grandson. Later in his life he loved to talk sports on the phone with his grandson, sometimes for hours. Bob loved to swim and he loved the ocean. He was an active member of the New England Lighthouse Lovers and spent many happy years in his retirement traveling the United States with his wife to visit them. Bob was also an active participant in the New Haven Federation of Teachers Retiree Chapter through his wife, Nina. Bob will be remembered by many as a friend, everywhere he went it seemed he knew someone and always had a friend to say hello to. Even if he knew he did not know anyone when he got there before he left you can be sure several people would consider Bob their friend. Bob loved his family very much and considered them the very center of his life and those who knew him knew just how important his family was to him . He was especially proud of the accomplishments of his girls and his world literally revolved around his grandchildren. Bob will be missed by many and remembered for his good nature, kind heart and big smile. He is survived by his wife and lifelong partner of 53 years Nina Miller Wolfson of Guilford, CT, his brother Herbert Wolfson(Lille) of North Haven, CT, his loving daughters Diane Leaman (Tony) of San Jose, CA , Nancy Coe (Rob Tomion) Medina, OH ,his beloved granddaughters Amy Marie Coe and Stephanie Rose Leaman, his grandson and the light in his eye Nelson Charles Coe and his nieces and nephews.
