Rose Stein passed away peacefully on January 18, 2012.  Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Sally & Alan Mendel and Ellen and Doug Smith;  grandchildren Daniel & Melissa Mendel, David & Amy Smith and Rebecca & David Kerievsky; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Hunter and Ethan Mendel and Sadie Kerievsky. The last of seven children, Rose lived a full 100 years.  A caring, strong woman with a contagious laugh.  She leaves her family with many wonderful memories.  She will forever live in our hearts.

Funeral service will be Monday, 11:30am at Mishkan Israel Cemetery, Jewell St., New Haven, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Mishkan Israel, 785 Ridge Rd., Hamden, CT 06517.
