Russell Bigler died in New Haven, September 20, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY,  July 27, 1933, resided in West Haven with his current wife, Kathleen Bigler of 11 years. Married to Barbara Bigler for 35 years who predeceased him in December 1998.  With Barbara Bigler, he had 2 children; Gary Bigler of Cheshire and Alison Bigler Karosas of Stowe, VT.  Six loving grandchildren Max Bigler, Aleksandra Karosas,  Carly Bigler, Tasija Karosas, Natalie Bigler and Maya Karosas and two brothers Robert Bigler of Northford and Theodore Bigler of Brooklyn, NY. He worked at a furniture factory in Orange, CT for 25 years and the New Haven Register for 30 years. After retiring from the New Haven Register 5 years ago, he and his wife Kathy spent quiet time in West Haven walking along the pier, visiting Mohegan Sun, and watching the Giants and the Yankees.
