Ruth Lippy Silverberg Born 3/12 /1926  Bronx ,New York passed away in Cromwell Connecticut  on 2/2/21. Mrs. Silverberg formally of 158 Atwater St. West Haven, CT received her BA degree from Brooklyn College and her MSSA degree from Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio in  Social Work. She was the wife of Sidney K. Silverberg, the mother of Richard D Silverberg, Howard J Silverberg, Mitchell A Silverberg. She (GG) is also survived by six grandchildren Sarah, Beth, Elizabeth, Paul, Anna and Samantha, six great grandsons and three great granddaughters. Mrs. Silverberg was the supervisor of Social Work in the Pediatric Clinic at Yale New Haven Hospital, the clinical instructor in pediatrics for the Yale medical school . Mrs. Silverberg had a private practice in psychotherapy for many years and also taught in the graduate school of Social Work at Southern Connecticut University . She was also an author and a poet. In later years Mrs. Silverberg  served as a volunteer at the Institute for Learning in Retirement, W.H.E.A.T and Friends of the Library in West Haven Connecticut. Ruth cared greatly for her family and her community. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of being kind, work hard, persevere and to always do her best.
