Sonya Hadelman Brown, 91 of New Haven, died August 13, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Isadore and Clara Hadelman, beloved wife of the late Alex Brown, sister of the late Jacob and Leon Hadelman, and is survived by sister, Monia Brandfon, passed away at Connecticut Hospice. She is survived by her children: Gail and her husband, Bruce Harris, Susan Brown Pellerin, Amy and her husband John Smith, her grandchildren: Marcey (David) Gauley, Andrew (Myra) Harris, Jason (Franny) Pellerin, Ellen (Christopher) Lowe, Daniel Smith, Steven (Amy) Smith, her great grandchildren: Sasha and Matthew Gauley, Erika (Zack) Murtha, Justin and Brandon Harris, Joshua Lowe, Lena Pellerin and Alex Smith and her great, great grand children, Riley and Aiden Murtha, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sonya was famous for her baking and cooking, particularly for her rugelah.
