Suzanne Trenary Rosner of East Haven, passed away March 17th after a brief illness. Suzanne was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota July 30, 1925 but was raised in New York City and Northport, Long Island. She was the daughter of the late Bernice Holtermann and Ralph Trenary and stepdaughter of the late Joel Krogstad and sister of the late Cecil Gale Trenary Grimstead Chauvin. It was on Long Island that Suzanne met and married her husband of 67 years, the late Irving Rosner, during World War II at a USO dance. They moved to New Haven where Suzanne raised their four children, became actively involved in both local and national politics and organized community fundraisers for numerous charities including the American Heart Association and Cystic Fibrosis. In her spare time she enjoyed bridge and golf. Suzanne is survived by her loving children Gale Alanby, Patrica Kearns (Robert), Jane Bigler (Dennis), and Mark (Jacqueline) Rosner, grandchildren Johanna Kearns, Ian Spatz (Kim Brolet), Meredith Spatz (Doug Goodman), Josh Kearns (Lisa Batzdorff), Greer Spatz (Andrew Croxford), Max Kearns (Joanna Pauley), Nicki Humphrey (Chad), Joseph Rapa (Jessica), Tenley Spatz, Hollen Spatz (Adam Hellman), Cornelius Kearns, Alexandra Bigler, Michael Rosner (Danielle), Ceciley Bigler, Katherine Rosner, and great grandchildren, Karolina and Max Kearns, Jemma,Jordan and Nash Goodman, Laszlo and Isaac Kearns, Robert, Holly, Miles and Charlotte Croxford, Caleb Humphrey and the newest addition, Lily Hellman. She is also survived by her cherished nieces Janet Gower and Karen Denton, and numerous nieces, grandnieces and nephews and their families.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday March 20th at 11 a.m. at the Independent Vilner Lodge Cemetery, Gerald St., East Haven. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in her name to a charity of your choice.
