Wilda Hamerman of Hamden, CT has died. She was 92. A former Connecticut State Representative (1974-1977) Wilda had a life-long involvement with politics and community causes. In addition to her work at the state level, she served two terms on the Town of Orange's Board of Selectmen. Born Wilda Grace Slevin in Brooklyn, New York, on March 15, 1924, and raised in Manhattan, Wilda moved to the New Haven area in 1955, settling in Orange in 1960 with her late husband, Martin Hamerman. She is survived by sons Don Hamerman of Stamford CT and Paul Hamerman of Midlothian VA, and her daughters-in-law Fern Galperin and Garnett Hamerman, as well as four grandchildren, Nora, Wynne, Sarah and David.
